Technical Leader – Complex ITO Gas Upgrades

Responsibilities

• Review scope, evaluate risks, and lead technical discussions as part of Pre-ITO to ITO (R1) and ITO-OTR hand off (R3)
• Assign the incoming CM&U proposals to the appropriate team members based on workload and technical ability
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for a team of ITO engineers to help drive Gas Power services growth for complex gas upgrades
• Collaborate with the interfacing teams like Sales, Commercial managers, Project managers, Regional ITO teams and design engineering teams, in reviewing the opportunity / contract needs and to evaluate risks
• Provide technical direction to interfacing teams as required, so as to achieve the business KPIs and objectives of the project / contract
• Lead various initiatives, process improvements, continuous improvement, kaizens / PSRs aimed to drive measurable improvement focused in the areas of safety, quality, delivery and cost (SQDC) for Gas Turbine Services upgrade proposals
• Promote professional growth through timely performance feedback, coaching and mentoring of team members
• Support team members both domestically and globally
• Own and manage KPI's/metrics unique to the complex upgrades space through daily management to foster business growth and margin enhancement
• Lead the daily management of the ITO KPIs, support team to meet ITO KPIs and conduct Lean PSR, if the KPIs are off the target
• Demonstrate autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework and lead other application engineers
• Resolve issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures
• Exhibit the GE Vernova way of working

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited University
• Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering
• Willingness to travel internationally
