Technical Service & Support Manager

In this role you lead the Technical Services and Support function for the Performance Coatings unit, shaping technical risk management, customer support, and staff development. You ensure safe, compliant application and specification handling across the local market, drive complaint management and learning, and align technical actions with global policies. You will empower cross-functional teams, support sales with expert technical inputs, and guide local R&D collaboration to grow the business.

• Lead the Technical Services and Support department to ensure safe, efficient systems and competent staff
• Manage technical risk, specifications, guarantees, and complaint processes to protect reputation and minimize claims
• Coordinate training to transfer knowledge across the local organization and align with global processes
• Provide technical leadership to strategic customers, key accounts, and major projects
• Support sales with technical expertise, documentation, and standards to position Jotun as the preferred supplier
• Manage local technical documentation to ensure alignment with market needs and global guidelines
• Develop and implement a local development plan in line with global TSS strategy
• Develop the technical service team for cross-segment potential and ensure policy compliance
• Support R&D with trial applications and field testing for market suitability
• Budget planning and operational oversight for the Technical Services department
• Lead and develop staff, ensuring a fit-for-purpose competence profile
• Deliver technical support for major projects and ensure customer expectations align with Jotun standards

• Technical High School or Engineer Degree
• At least 5 years in similar roles
• Frosio Level 3 / Nace Certification
• Excellent communication skills
• Team leadership and cross-cultural experience
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Willingness to travel
