As a Tools and Infrastructure Support Engineer, you oversee the DevOps tooling platform used by the Build and Deployment team at EUMETSAT and the broader organisation. You ensure the tools stay secure, current, and highly available, handling administration, updates, and vendor coordination. You will work across GitLab, Jenkins, Nexus, Harbor, Subversion, Orcharhino, and Device42, supporting users and contributing to a robust knowledge base. This role combines hands-on administration with service improvement to enable dependable, scalable builds and deployments. A strong emphasis on security, high availability, and cross-team collaboration shapes the impact you’ll have.

- Manage and monitor the entire infrastructure tool landscape across existing and future tools
- Administer self-hosted GitLab instances, Jenkins, Nexus, Harbor, Subversion, Orcharhino, and Device42
- Install feature and security updates and configure tools
- Liaise with vendors for updates and security fixes and track cases to closure
- Perform housekeeping, backups, restore verification, and performance/availability monitoring
- Provide user support, resolve access issues, and contribute to the service knowledge base
- Advanced Linux system administration including software installs, backups, filesystems, performance monitoring
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and HA setups
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash/Shell, API-based automation)
- Experience maintaining tools in the DevOps stack: GitLab, Orcharhino, Jenkins, Nexus, Harbor, Subversion, Device42
- Knowledge of networking and TCP/IP, and change management processes
- Security-focused with experience in hardening, patching, and vulnerability management
- Experience in large-scale, 24x7 operations
- Master's degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong technical documentation and English communication skills
