Trading Operations Analyst (m/f/d)

In this role, you will manage back-office processes for structured power contracts and ensure accurate settlements and invoicing. You will collaborate with trading, risk, finance, and IT teams to support operational delivery and compliance. The position offers a hybrid work setup in Düsseldorf and exposure to transformation initiatives within a large energy company. You will help standardize and optimize workflows, contributing to governance and operational transparency. This is an opportunity to shape energy trading operations at scale.

• Manage back-office processes for structured power contracts (PPAs, BESS, ancillary services) and related settlements
• Calculate, validate, and process settlements and invoices with counterparties, TSOs, and internal stakeholders
• Verify trade data, perform transaction validation, monitor data quality, and support contractual implementations in systems
• Analyze settlement inquiries, payment discrepancies, and operational variances; resolve exceptions
• Collaborate with Trading, Origination, Risk, Credit, Finance, Tax, Accounting, Legal, and IT to ensure compliant delivery
• Maintain documentation, controls, and performance tracking for governance and audits
• Identify process improvements and support standardization, optimization, and automation of workflows
• Support system enhancements, new product launches, and transformation initiatives through testing and operational input

• Proven experience in Trading Operations, Back Office, Commodity Operations or similar with focus on settlements, invoicing, reconciliations and issue resolution
• Knowledge of German and UK power markets and related operational processes
• Experience with structured energy contracts (PPAs, BESS) and ancillary services
• Ability to translate contractual requirements into practical operational processes and controls
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to manage high-value data under tight deadlines
• Effective communication and stakeholder management in an international setting
• Fluent English; German is advantageous
• Experience with SAP, Endur, Microsoft Office, reporting tools, automation solutions or data analysis platforms is beneficial
