Underwriter – Mathematics Spanish‑Speaking Markets

Participate in a structured onboarding programme and gradually take responsibility for managing the placement process – from business origination and pricing through to final underwriting decisions.
Review and assess enquiries for structured reinsurance solutions, develop tailored concepts, and conduct negotiations with clients.
Manage and renew existing reinsurance contracts, while planning, monitoring and coordinating business data to meet defined quality standards.
Prepare actuarially sound analyses and projections to ensure and actively manage the profitability of reinsurance contracts.
Maintain existing business relationships and support the development of new partnerships, including regular in‑person meetings in Hannover and worldwide.
Work closely with international colleagues in Underwriting, Actuarial, Accounting and Natural Catastrophe Modelling.

Completed Master’s degree in Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Physics or a comparable field with a strong economic focus.
Initial practical experience in the insurance or financial services sector, for example through internships or working‑student roles.
Confident use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Proficient user skills in Spanish and English, with conversational German.
Willingness to travel internationally (approximately five to six trips per year).
Solution‑oriented approach combined with strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
