Video Producer – Freelance

Develop organic and paid social content for two major brands in social media and telecommunications
Generate quick-hit concepts, recurring formats, sketches, cultural responses, and creator-led ideas
Lead creative development from briefs and cultural observations through sell-in
Partner with conceptual creatives, strategists, producers, and account partners
Handle end-to-end creation including scripting, storyboarding, casting, talent briefs, location scouting, props, production planning, camera, sound, lighting, directing, editing, finishing, and delivery
Operate compact camera or phone-based production setups and independently edit social-first content
Create comedy, character, reaction, interview, day-in-the-life, and personality-forward formats
Direct actors, creators, employees, event attendees, and non-professional participants
Capture events and cultural moments and produce timely edits, recaps, and social cutdowns
Translate brand briefs and strategic goals into entertaining content
Track emerging formats, memes, creator behaviors, and platform-native editorial styles
Present work, incorporate feedback, and manage multiple deliverables under tight timelines

Requirements

5+ years of hands-on experience creating social video, branded content, digital comedy, creator-led work, or an equivalent portfolio demonstrating the same depth of ability
Strong portfolio showing personal responsibility for shooting, directing, and editing short-form content
Fluency in organic social microtrends, behaviors, language, and nuances
Strong conceptual instincts and ability to generate multiple ideas quickly
Fluency in short-form storytelling, including hooks, pacing, comedic or performance timing, and social-native content
Proficiency operating compact camera systems or phones, recording clean audio, and working with basic lighting and lean resources
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or an equivalent editing platform
Ability to execute trick shots, visual transitions, practical effects, and editorial techniques independently
Experience self-producing small shoots, including casting, props, locations, releases, schedules, and file management
Ability to direct actors, creators, and non-professional talent
Self-sufficient, organized, and solutions-oriented working style
Ability to manage several fast-moving deliverables simultaneously
Occasional on-camera appearance, comedy/sketch/improv experience, event capture, advanced motion graphics, animation, compositing, sound design, and experience with organic and paid social content are listed as pluses, not musts
