Video Producer, Overnights

Stellenbeschreibung:

Produce, shoot, and source high-quality original video and audio content for Reach network brands during UK overnight hours
Manage the overnight video plan alongside the relevant Editor
Ensure video remains a core component of daily output
Work closely with Australian reporters, news editors, and audience specialists
Support the wider Reach network and lead overnight breaking news coverage
Apply best practices for formats, style, and content types on each platform
Tailor video for specific off-platform channels
Prioritise output and make senior-level publishing decisions across network titles
Uphold legal, copyright, and quality standards
Provide final sign-off on content before uploading and distributing
Utilise approved AI tools to improve efficiency and content accuracy
Share key learnings with colleagues
Contribute to building a diverse and inclusive organisation

Requirements

Australian based; currently based in Australia
Right to work in Australia; sponsorship is not provided
Experience producing, shooting, and sourcing high-quality original video and audio content
Experience managing video plans and overnight breaking news coverage
Proven track record shaping video strategy and content that drives significant audience growth, video views, and audio-video KPIs for a large organisation
Excellent written, face-to-face, and presentation skills
Outstanding stakeholder management skills and ability to cascade consistent messages
Strong organisation and time management skills
Ability to set clear objectives, prioritise tasks, and allocate resources efficiently
Technical knowledge of video creation from filming to editing
Hands-on experience using Adobe Suite or similar video software
Experience making senior-level publishing decisions
Strong working knowledge of media law
Professional, adaptable, and methodical approach to problem-solving and decision-making
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Newsroom experience and an NCTJ/BTCJ qualification (or equivalent) are highly desired
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
