About us

With around 35,000 students, around 350 professorships, and around 7,000 employees, the Technical University of Berlin is a university of excellence within the Berlin University Alliance. We value the diversity of our members, pursue the goals of equal opportunity, and are certified as a family-friendly university.

The Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB) is a leading research institute in applied mathematics, artificial intelligence, data-driven methods, and high-performance computing (AI+HPC). Its strategy is to combine modeling, machine learning, and computing to enable innovation in science, technology, and society. To this end, the ZIB offers an internationally recognised research environment with access to state-of-the-art HPC and AI infrastructure and, as a member of the National High-Performance Computing Alliance (NHR), is a key player in the German research landscape.
