Our client is a fast-growing IT services provider with a strong market presence. The company develops and operates highly available and secure IT solutions for its clients, with a focus on cloud-native business process digitalization, hybrid working environments, and secure data networks. Its goal is to become the preferred digitalization partner for the German Mittelstand. In recent years, the company has successfully expanded its service portfolio and geographic footprint through a combination of organic growth and targeted acquisitions. With further integration and professionalization ahead, the organization is now seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to help steer the company through its next phase of growth. The CFO will work closely with the management team and the investor, playing a key role in shaping the company’s strategic and financial direction. The position can be based in Munich, Frankfurt or Hamburg, Germany.

What the job involves

Professionalize the finance function, covering accounting, controlling, tax, legal coordination, and treasury
Establish and expand a robust, group-wide controlling function to enable transparency, performance steering, and data-driven decision‑making
Standardize and optimize financial processes, reporting structures, and closing procedures across the group
Act as a strategic partner to the leadership team, providing financial guidance while remaining hands‑on in operational execution
Lead potential M&A add‑on transactions
Integration of acquired companies and harmonization of financial systems, processes, and governance standards
Lead the company’s preparation for near‑term investor engagement and strategic transaction readiness, ensuring robust financial reporting, transparency, and a compelling equity story
Serve as the primary point of contact for the investor, board members, auditors, and tax advisors on all financial matters, ensuring transparency and effective communication

Who we are looking for

University degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
Proven track record in a senior finance leadership role; ideally CFO or Finance Director in a Private Equity‑backed environment
Exit preparation & M&A experience, including due diligence process and buyer communication
Experience in IT services, software, or technology‑driven business models is advantageous
Demonstrated ability to professionalize financial processes and build scalable finance organizations
Hands‑on with the ability to balance strategic steering and operational detail
Structured and pragmatic approach to integrating acquired companies and harmonizing systems
Entrepreneurial mindset, resilience, and the ability to drive change in a dynamic environment
Short‑term availability is helpful
Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
