Dealer Development and Operation Head (Geely Germany)

Stellenbeschreibung:

Responsible for planning, developing, and optimizing Geely’s dealer network in Germany to support sustainable business growth in the German market, ensure operational excellence in line with German industry standards, and enhance customer satisfaction that meets local consumer expectations. This role will lead the German regional network strategy, dealer performance management, and strict compliance with local regulations and Geely’s global standards to strengthen the brand’s market position in Germany.

Key Responsibilities

1. Dealer Network Strategy & Development (Germany Region)

  • Analyze competitors’ (both international and local German automotive brands) network structures, sales performance, and market share within the German region, with a focus on key federal states and urban/rural market differences.
  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive, Germany-tailored dealer network development strategy aligned with Geely’s global objectives and local market potential (e.g., electric vehicle adoption hotspots).
  • Identify white-space opportunities in the German market, optimize network layout to improve regional coverage (especially in high-potential areas) and dealer profitability, while considering local retail regulations and consumer habits.

2. Dealer Business Planning & Compliance

  • Coordinate with Geely Germany’s internal committees and Geely’s global headquarters to review and evaluate dealer business plans, ensuring alignment with local market trends and brand goals.
  • Ensure all Business Plan (BP) processes, approvals, and dealer operations comply with Geely’s global corporate standards and relevant German regulations (e.g., automotive retail laws, consumer protection laws, data privacy regulations such as GDPR).

3. Corporate Identity & Standards Implementation (Germany Adaptation)

  • Supervise and ensure consistent execution of Geely’s Corporate Identity (CI), Sales Infrastructure (SI), and Sales Standards across the entire German dealer network, with adaptations to meet local building codes and retail requirements where necessary.
  • Monitor dealer facility upgrades, branding alignment, and service experience consistency, ensuring compliance with both Geely’s global standards and German consumers’ expectations for automotive retail service.

4. Dealer Operations Management (German Market Focus)

  • Update and improve dealer operation guidelines and operational processes tailored to the German market, and set annual performance targets that reflect local market dynamics (e.g., EV sales goals, aftersales service standards).
  • Evaluate dealer organizational capabilities, sales performance indicators (KPIs relevant to Germany), and adherence to Geely’s processes and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular operational audits at German dealers, provide targeted improvement feedback, and follow up on corrective actions to ensure operational excellence.

5. Performance Analysis & Business Support (Local Data-Driven)

  • Analyze dealer operating data and key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the German market (e.g., regional sales distribution, EV penetration rate, local customer retention) to support strategic decision-making for Geely Germany.
  • Provide actionable insights and localized guidance to help German dealers improve business performance, profitability, and competitiveness in the local market.
  • Develop dealer incentive schemes aligned with Geely’s global business goals and German market dynamics (e.g., incentives for EV sales, aftersales service quality, compliance with local regulations).
  • Establish and maintain an early warning mechanism for dealer management in Germany, proactively identifying potential risks such as non-compliance with local laws, market underperformance, or brand reputation risks.
  • Oversee sales satisfaction initiatives tailored to German consumers, ensuring continuous improvement in customer experience across the German dealer network (e.g., aftersales service speed, multilingual support).
  • Support NPS and customer satisfaction metrics in Germany with data-driven action plans, addressing local consumer pain points and enhancing brand loyalty.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, Automotive Management, or related disciplines (a degree with a focus on the German automotive market is a plus).

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive dealer network development and operations in Germany (experience with dealer groups, international automotive brands, or EV brands in Germany is highly preferred).
  • Solid understanding of the German automotive ecosystem, including local retail operations, aftersales service standards, market dynamics, EV industry trends, and relevant local regulations.
  • Familiarity with Geely’s brand philosophy and product portfolio (or a willingness to quickly learn) is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills, with the ability to develop and execute region-specific network strategies.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities, with experience collaborating with internal teams (global and local) and German dealers.
  • Capable of working effectively under high pressure with a goal-oriented mindset, adapting to the dynamic German automotive market.
  • Fluent in English (working language proficiency) and German (spoken and written, essential for communicating with local dealers, authorities, and consumers).
  • High integrity, strong execution capability, and passion for driving operational excellence in line with both Geely’s global standards and German industry benchmarks.
  • Familiarity with GDPR and other relevant German regulations (e.g., automotive retail laws) is a must.
