Job Objective

As a Marine Superintendent (m/f/d) Offshore, you oversee safety, nautical and commercial operations of offshore vessels, ensuring compliance with environmental, safety and energy policies and contributing to the fleet’s operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational and commercial support for offshore vessels.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and quality policies.
• Act as the point of contact for Masters, review voyage orders and guide the crew.
• Maintain relationships with owners and charterers.
• Collaborate with Technical Superintendents to resolve operational discrepancies.
• Organise and conduct ship inspections, audits and emergency drills.
• Ensure adherence to national and international safety and quality standards.
• Support and advise ship officers in daily operations.
• Provide technical support for the compatibility assessment of offshore vessels.
• Ensure compliance with agreed bunkering procedures as per SGMF guidelines.
• Review and ensure compliance of the STS and JPBO plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, Marine Engineering or equivalent (e.g., Senior Officer’s Certificate of Competency).
• At least 1 year of experience as Senior DPO on an offshore vessel or equivalent; shore experience is beneficial.
• In‑depth knowledge of quality, environmental and safety standards and relevant offshore regulations.
• Strong communication, teamwork and leadership skills.
• Experience in customer management and working with international stakeholders.
• Sound understanding of global maritime markets.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel and conduct on‑board inspections.
• Travel expected within Europe, U.S., Canada and Far East.
• Self‑reliant, structured and solution‑oriented approach to work.
