Overview

The PMC Project Director leads large-scale construction projects, ensuring timely, within-budget, high-quality completion. Responsibilities include strategic planning, team leadership, risk management, and stakeholder communication. This senior role involves leading one of Europe’s largest greenfield Data Centres for a major client.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion a high-performance safety culture.
• Lead end-to-end project delivery ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate development from due diligence to handover and certification.
• Create aligned project delivery and communication plans.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues proactively.
• Improve project management through standardization and automation.
• Mentor and train teams on continuous improvement and reporting procedures.
• Manage risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Support documentation for quotations and project proposals.
• Develop project reporting and governance standards.
• Ensure compliance with company standards across all stakeholders.
• Assist in business development and client presentations.
• Support recruitment to meet project and regional expansion needs.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships and provide project updates.
• Conduct site inspections and quality audits.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers for timely delivery.
• Prepare project reports and maintain accurate records.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3 years of data centre construction/project management experience with leadership growth.
• Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• PMP and LEED AP qualifications or working towards them.
• Passion for team building, mentoring, and coaching.
• Strong relationship-building skills with teams and clients.
• Experience as Construction Director in PMC and Construction Management environments.
• Fluent in English; German is desirable.
• Willing to work on-site in Frankfurt or Berlin.
