What You Can Expect

The Accounts Payable and Freight Cost Management Department provides professional invoice management for all affiliated European BASF Group companies. It cooperates with the procurement and local finance departments, actively involved in the creation of an optimized creditor process chain.

Responsibilities

• You manage invoice processing for BASF Group companies, including invoice control, posting, payment runs and account clarification in line with internal and external guidelines.
• You handle internal and external requests across various channels and ensure timely, accurate execution of FRC controls while preventing fraud.
• You independently resolve complex accounting topics, clarify open items (e.g., vendor accounts, GR/IR) and drive continuous process improvements.
• You support and coordinate cross-team activities, including special cases, complex problem resolution and project contributions.
• You create and maintain documentation and deliver trainings, supporting knowledge sharing and capability building within the team.

Qualifications

• Commercial business training or a degree in Business Administration.
• First experience in accounting and projects.
• Communicative team player who is open to changes.
• First experience with SAP.
• Fluent in English; German, Turkish, and Hungarian are an advantage.
