Advances Automotive Interior Design Director New Strategy Business (m/f/x)

As Advanced Automotive Interior Design Director, you will shape high-end cabin experiences aligned with NIO’s design DNA and future tech. You lead a cross-functional interior design team, ensuring quality, innovation, and on-time delivery while navigating safety and regulatory requirements. You’ll collaborate with digital modelers and engineers to integrate interior concepts with product strategy. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to influence mobility design at scale and across global teams.

• Conceptualize original interior concepts aligned with design DNA, user lifestyle, and emerging tech
• Ensure interior design meets quality, innovation, functionality, and delivery timelines
• Lead and mentor the interior design team throughout the design process
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Digital Modelers, studio engineers) to align design with product strategy
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and provide constructive feedback
• Apply safety and regulatory requirements to the design during the industrialization process

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Industrial Design
• Minimum 9 years of automotive interior design experience, including management
• Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent communication and collaboration, strong leadership and management skills
• Passion for innovation and creativity with strong attention to detail
