AI / Cloud Architect (m/w/d)

In this senior IC role, you shape the enterprise data and AI landscape for the EMEA region. You translate business challenges into scalable AI solutions and establish governance to ensure responsible adoption. You will bridge business, data, AI, and technology to deliver measurable value. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to adapt global AI offerings to regional needs and track the impact of AI initiatives. This role offers a path to influence cloud, data, and AI architecture at scale within Avnet.

• identify, evaluate, and prioritize AI-driven automation use cases across the EMEA organization
• localize global AI products and solutions to regional requirements
• conduct feasibility assessments including ROI, data availability, risk, and build-vs-buy
• collaborate with business domain owners, product teams, data engineers, and technology stakeholders
• track, measure, and report business value and realized benefits of AI initiatives
• support the lifecycle of strategic data products from design to adoption and improvement
• partner with data engineering to ensure reliable, scalable data pipelines for analytics and ML
• promote a Data-as-a-Product mindset across business units
• contribute to AI and data governance frameworks for responsible adoption
• shape future cloud, data, and AI architecture across the EMEA organization

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a comparable qualification; equivalent professional experience welcomed
• strong understanding of modern cloud data architectures and enterprise technology landscapes
• business-case mindset with ROI analysis, prioritization, value assessment, and value tracking
• hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (data, compute, networking)
• experience designing hybrid networks and cloud landing zones; solid networking knowledge
• hands-on experience with LLM-based automation, generative AI, or AI platforms
• familiarity with modern web technologies and architectures
• ability to translate strategic requirements into scalable tech solutions
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured approach
