AI Data Lead - SAP-RPT Foundation Model Family (f/m/d)

As AI Data Lead, you own and grow the data assets underpinning our foundation model development within the SAP-RPT family. You shape short- and long-term roadmaps, integrate diverse data sources, and ensure compliant use in collaboration with governance functions. You work closely with scientists and engineers to translate data needs into actionable plans, maintaining strategic oversight while staying close to data through hands-on validation. This role blends leadership, scientific partnership, and cross-functional influence to advance enterprise AI capabilities at scale.

• Own pre-training, evaluation and metadata data assets and expand them with new data sources
• Maintain and prioritize short- and long-term data roadmaps and backlogs
• Collaborate with scientists to translate experimental insights into concrete data needs
• Represent team's data needs to influence provider priorities and ensure delivery
• Enable compliant data use in collaboration with Legal, Data Protection and Licensing
• Conduct hands-on data exploration and validation to assess quality and suitability for model development

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, or a relevant field
• 5+ years of professional experience in data & AI environments
• Experience leading cross-functional technical projects with data and ML deliverables
• Strong understanding of relational enterprise data, schemas, and data quality challenges
• Experience with SAP’s business data and/or SAP’s semantic models is a plus
• Solid understanding of data management technologies, databases; working knowledge of SQL and Python
• Solid ML understanding with experience interpreting experiments and model development
• Tabular ML is a plus
