Application Expert, Procurement Process Excellence (m/f/d)

As Expert (m/f/d) PSM Applications, you will own functional design, governance, and delivery across global P2P processes within SAP S/4HANA and SAP Ariba. You will lead cross-region standardization, risk management, and process improvements while driving adoption and alignment with the global procurement strategy. This role combines hands-on system design with transformation leadership, coaching, and ensuring compliance and data integrity. You will partner with Finance, Audit, and IT to enable scalable, compliant procurement capabilities.

• Own and maintain senior functional design for P2P within the global template
• Translate procurement policies and governance into SAP S/4HANA design (processes, workflows, approvals)
• Ensure master data concepts meet audit, reporting, and operational needs
• Lead functional design for SAP Ariba modules (SLP, Sourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Risk/Performance)
• Define governance templates, questionnaires, workflows, and approvals
• Ensure supplier onboarding, qualification, and due diligence meet compliance and sustainability requirements
• Maintain Ariba–S/4HANA integration from business perspective
• Act as senior functional expert in ERP and digital procurement transformation
• Own functional scope, risks, and dependencies within work packages
• Support solution design reviews, defect prioritization, and change control decisions
• Coach and guide junior functional experts
• Ensure embedded process controls meet audit and internal control standards
• Partner with Finance, Internal Controls, and Audit on control design and evidence
• Ensure alignment with Exyte QMS and procurement policies
• Define functional content for training concepts and rollout strategies
• Drive user adoption and correct system usage across regions and projects
• Identify structural improvement opportunities across P2P and supplier lifecycle processes
• Contribute to KPI definition, interpretation, and improvement initiatives
• Serve as a functional reference and coach for procurement excellence topics

• 8+ years in procurement / supply chain with strong P2P process expertise
• Hands-on functional experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Ariba
• Experience in global or multi-regional ERP and procurement transformation
• Strong exposure to audit, internal controls, and governance requirements
• SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP Ariba certifications a plus
• EPC, project-driven, or regulated industry experience
• Strong understanding of procurement governance, controls, and data concepts
• Structured problem solving and decision making
• Ability to operate independently in complex environments
• International travel may be required depending on project phase
