Overview

Join AWS as a Data Center Logistics Manager to lead storage and parts distribution within a high-security, high-availability data center ecosystem. You will own hands-on warehousing, inventory planning, and safety programs, coordinating with Procurement and regional logistics peers to optimize stock and space. You’ll supervise a small team, drive process improvements, and maintain dashboards and reports that inform leadership. The role blends operations, security, and people leadership to sustain cost-efficient, reliable data center support at scale.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Support Data Center Operations by managing receiving, warehousing, and distribution of parts and supplies; enforce policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with warehousing, health & safety, and shipping regulations; advise management on actions
  • Safeguard warehouse operations by implementing safety and security protocols
  • Control inventory levels via physical counts and reconciliation with inventory systems
  • Layout planning, equipment inspection, and work orders for repairs/replacements to maintain storage areas
  • Maintain security and tracking of parts within storage areas and for end users
  • Lead a team of 6–9 direct reports; schedule, assign work, and monitor results
  • Recruit, onboard, and train logistics staff; manage performance and development
  • Drive continuous process improvements to achieve high availability and low cost; maintain metrics dashboards and reports
  • Foster a strong safety culture and own safety initiatives within the team
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Degree in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience managing larger teams
  • Experience in Inventory Management Systems and processes; knowledge of regional import/export practices; fluency in English
