Commercial Manager - Frankfurt - Data Centre

In this role you will lead the commercial function on a flagship data centre project in Frankfurt, taking full responsibility for commercial performance from pre-construction to final account. You will work closely with the regional leadership and external consultants to maximise profitability and ensure compliant, timely reporting. The position sits on-site, offering high visibility and impact on a major international project. This is a senior opportunity to shape commercial strategy and team development within a growing, data-centre focused contractor.

• Overall commercial leadership and governance of the project
• Developing and implementing commercial strategy to maximise profitability
• Cost control, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Managing subcontract procurement strategy and commercial negotiations
• Valuations, variations, and final accounts oversight and approvals
• Change control, risk management, and contractual compliance
• Leading, mentoring, and developing the site commercial team
• Producing monthly commercial reports for senior management and stakeholders
• Acting as key commercial interface with client and external consultants

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying (MRICS or equivalent desirable)
• Extensive experience in a senior commercial role with a main contractor
• Proven track record delivering large-scale, technically complex projects (data centres, pharma, or M&E-led projects advantageous)
• Strong contractual knowledge (NEC, FIDIC, or similar)
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management
• Strong commercial acumen with risk and opportunity management
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international project environment
• Willingness to be based on site in Frankfurt (expat/relocation package typically provided)
