This Chapter Lead role is being established to ensure business continuity for critical ERP solutions supporting our project and service business. This position is vital for maintaining operational stability and driving the ongoing S/4HANA transformation. To address these objectives, the role is structured around three core areas: leading and developing the expert chapter, managing the lifecycle and service delivery of existing ERP solutions, and steering the team's contribution to strategic transformation projects. This approach ensures a balance between operational excellence (run) and strategic development (change). Given the focus on team leadership and ERP transformation, the ideal candidate will possess proven management experience, deep technical expertise in ERP systems for project and service processes, and a strong background in IT service management and large‑scale project execution, particularly with S/4HANA.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of experienced ERP professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Manage team resources, including capacity planning and task allocation for both operational support and project activities.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear objectives, and support the career development and skill enhancement of all team members.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the chapter, representing the team in management meetings and cross‑functional initiatives.
• 30% ERP Service Delivery and Operations
  • Ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of critical ERP solutions supporting project execution and service business processes.
  • Oversee IT service management processes, including incident, problem, and change management, to meet defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage relationships with business stakeholders to ensure ERP services align with their needs and to communicate service performance.
  • Govern the operational health of the ERP landscape, including monitoring, reporting, and identifying areas for process improvement.
• 30% S/4 Transformation and Project Execution
  • Lead the chapter's contribution to the S/4HANA transformation program, focusing on the design and implementation of solutions for project and service business.
  • Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, and business analysts to ensure the successful delivery of ERP enhancements and projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight for the implementation of new functionalities, ensuring alignment with the overall ERP strategy and architecture.
  • Manage the transition of new solutions from project delivery to stable operations, including knowledge transfer and documentation.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Extensive professional experience in managing IT applications, with a strong focus on ERP systems (preferably SAP) in project and service business contexts.
• Several years of demonstrated experience in a leadership role, managing and developing teams of technical experts.
• Proven experience in managing large‑scale IT transformation projects, particularly S/4HANA implementations.
