Consultant (m/f/d) | Program Management – Focus on AD System HW & SW Platform Development

In this role you lead SAE Level 4 autonomous driving system programs, shaping HW/SW platform architecture and ensuring industrialization and scalability. You align architectures and roadmaps across hardware, software and system engineering, coordinating suppliers and partners to deliver series-ready AD platforms. You drive safety, cybersecurity, quality and regulatory compliance while managing risks, costs, and timelines. You partner with OEMs and silicon/software suppliers to define long-term platform strategy and make-or-buy decisions.

• Define and steer end-to-end AD platform concepts (compute hardware, sensors, middleware, OS, software stacks)
• Align platform roadmaps and milestones across hardware, software and system engineering teams
• Integrate SoCs, sensors, vehicle E/E architectures and middleware into coherent AD platforms
• Ensure platform compliance with ASPICE, ISO26262, ISO21434 and homologation requirements
• Drive interface definitions and system decomposition to enable modularity and future scalability
• Coordinate SiL/HiL/vehicle integration activities for early risk detection and maturity tracking
• Act as the key interface between OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, silicon providers, and software partners
• Provide program-level transparency on costs, timelines, risks and technical trade-offs
• Support make-or-buy decisions, platform strategy discussions, and long-term technology roadmaps

• University degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
• Profound understanding of HW/SW co-design for autonomous driving systems
• Hands-on experience with AD ecosystems (Autoware, Baidu Apollo, NVIDIA DRIVE OS/Alpamayo)
• Strong leadership and communication skills to drive cross-functional teams
• Ability to bridge system engineering, software development and hardware constraints at program level
• Technical skills: C++ (11/14+), Python, Bash; automotive protocols MQTT, SOME/IP
• Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, IPv6, VLANs) for in-vehicle and backend AD platforms
