Coordinator for UEM’s Regional Service in the Region Cologne Bonn (all genders)

We are looking for a dedicated Coordinator to work across the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland, supporting ecumenical and international initiatives in the cities of Cologne, Bonn, the Oberbergischer Kreis and Bonner Vorgebirge.

The role calls for theological and pedagogical expertise, experience in network development, and a proven ability to lead ecumenical and international projects. Fluency in German is desirable and prior overseas experience is an advantage.

Your Tasks

• Raise awareness for the UEM community and the ecumenical movement in the church districts.
• Plan, organize and coordinate ecumenical activities in the region with international perspectives, including preaching, lectures, project implementation, event organization and development of international programs.
• Participate in committees of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland (EKiR) and UEM.
• Collaborate with partnership groups and build cooperation with bodies and structures of the church.
• Motivate and work with people engaged in ecumenical partnerships, promoting global peace, justice and integrity of creation.

Your Profile

• Theological or pedagogical qualification.
• Professional experience in network development.
• Expertise in developing innovative ecumenical strategies at the grassroots level.
• Competence to work in ecumenical and international contexts.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to people quickly.
• German language skills are desirable.
• Preferably, previous work experience abroad.
