Data Center Project Manager , Critical Projects Implementation Team

As a Data Center Projects Engineer in the CPI team, you will help design, build, and optimize infrastructure in Amazon data centers across the EU. You will work on electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation projects to improve resiliency and efficiency. Expect cross‑functional collaboration and leadership within project teams, tackling complex infrastructure challenges. This role offers hands-on impact in globally deployed data center projects and a chance to drive operational excellence.

• Project management and oversight of construction activities for modifying existing infrastructure to install new or replace end-of-life equipment
• Lead initiatives to increase data center resiliency
• Electrical design and review for optimization of existing facilities
• Review of construction/project package drawings
• Create project scope, RFPs, and capital requests
• Develop commissioning plans and oversee project commissioning
• Record and report key metrics to team and management
• Provide operational support through procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives
• Drive troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment/electrical failures
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure high-quality project turnovers
• Lead within the group and across internal and external teams supporting the data center

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Vendor management experience
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment
• Experience in data center engineering or operations
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
