Data Center Operations Site Manager (m/f/d)

In this role you lead and coordinate data center operations, acting as the technical liaison between technology teams and the data center environment. You will ensure reliable, safe, and scalable site operation while guiding improvements and documenting best practices. You’ll troubleshoot a broad range of infra issues, perform RCA/CA with internal teams, and drive small to medium projects. This position offers growth toward cloud services and involves collaboration across global teams. You’ll be the go-to technical authority for your area, shaping site-level resilience and efficiency.

• Audit power and mechanical capacity and oversee changes
• Troubleshoot with internal teams and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action (CA)
• Coordinate with local colocation partners to understand site topology
• Plan and manage rack deliveries and installations
• Develop and sustain 5S standards on each site
• Collaborate with build, project, and colocation teams to validate electrical and mechanical systems
• Provide operational support including failure mode analysis and best practices
• Participate in operational reviews to identify reliability and availability improvements
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams on issues and improvements
• Mentor other contributors and maintain SOP-compliant documentation
• Travel to multiple campuses in the Frankfurt region as needed
• Maintain and improve documentation and standards across sites
• Maintain safety compliance and health & safety rules
• Dive deep into any stack and support a devops mindset
• Support global sharing of best practices and lessons learned
• Support live operations management and change control
• Assist in validating functionality of electrical and mechanical systems

• 5+ years of Data Centre experience in IT or Hosting
• In-depth knowledge of the Data Center ecosystem (cooling, electrical, networking, cabling)
• 2+ years of Vendor management experience
• Understanding of multi-node IT systems and architecture
• Written and spoken English fluency
• Able to work on step ladders and lift up to 25 kg
• Strong cross-cultural awareness
• Preference for a related scientific or engineering degree
