DATA PROTECTION OFFICER (DEPUTY) (f/m/d)

In this role you support and, when needed, deputize the DPO to strengthen the group’s data protection program. You help regulate and monitor compliance with applicable laws, ensuring personal data is safeguarded across the organization. You work with stakeholders to implement governance, risk management, and privacy-by-design practices, driving a compliant and resilient data protection framework. This position offers exposure to multinational environments and the chance to shape the group’s privacy posture and engagement with regulators.

• Support risk management, monitoring, and reporting of data protection risks across the Group
• Assist in developing and maintaining data protection strategy, policies, and oversight framework
• Coordinate governance and reporting on data protection matters and deputize as needed
• Support independent monitoring of compliance with data protection laws and internal controls
• Contribute to a risk-based data protection monitoring plan and ensure effective data protection processes
• Advise the business on privacy requirements, DPIAs, cross-border transfers, and data subject rights
• Provide guidance on processor arrangements, privacy notices, and records of processing activities
• Support incident handling, breach notification, and engagement with authorities and stakeholders

• Degree in law, information governance, data protection, computer science, or related field
• Extensive experience in data protection and privacy with knowledge of GDPR, PDPA, and DIFC Data Protection Law
• Experience implementing data protection in multinational environments
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
• Ability to interact with senior and junior stakeholders and manage stakeholders effectively
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to act independently with high professional integrity
