Overview

As Engineering Manager for the Data & Analytics team, you will guide a 4–5 person engineering group with hands-on involvement. You’ll own delivery, align stakeholders, and bring technical depth to mentor engineers and shape the team’s direction. You’ll collaborate with the Director of Engineering and product stakeholders on sequencing and roadmap decisions, balancing platform and product needs. You’ll influence data governance for AI agents and drive a culture of self-service data ownership. This role offers a chance to shape data strategy into 2027 and beyond.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Lead and develop a 4–5 engineer team, coaching and unblocking delivery
Own the team’s roadmap sequencing and negotiate with product stakeholders
Balance data platform work with product delivery across teams
Provide hands-on guidance in Data streaming to navigate transitions
Raise the bar on data modeling across the team
Drive distributed data ownership and empower product teams to own their data
Collaborate with the broader staff engineering community on cross-cutting architectural decisions
Build foundations for AI data governance including guardrails, access control, and safety for agentic analytics

Zentrale Anforderungen

Proven Staff Engineer level experience in data engineering or equivalent
Hands-on, player-coach mindset with leadership experience
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Solid data modeling expertise and ability to standardize across the team
Experience coaching engineers and fostering product thinking
Strong communication and ability to drive cultural shift toward distributed data ownership
Comfort operating across platform and product delivery contexts
