FIG M&A Associate / Vice President

A leading banking platform is looking to strengthen its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) M&A team with an experienced Associate or Vice President.

The team advises financial institutions and investors across a range of M&A and strategic transactions, with exposure to areas including banks, insurance, asset management, fintech and other financial services businesses.

The role:

• Work across the full M&A transaction lifecycle, from origination and execution through to completion


• Build and review detailed financial models and valuation analyses


• Prepare transaction materials, including pitch books, teasers, information memoranda and management presentations


• Conduct industry, company and market analysis


• Support senior team members in client management and transaction execution


• Take increasing responsibility for workstreams and junior team members at VP level

The ideal background:

• Relevant experience in Investment Banking / M&A


• Strong preference for candidates with FIG / Financial Services transaction experience


• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills


• Experience working on M&A and/or other strategic transactions


• Strong academic background


• Commercial mindset with excellent analytical and communication skills
