Overview

As a Finance Data Engineer at Helsing, you design and deploy autonomous finance workflows and AI-driven validation within a data-sovereign stack. You build self-correcting data pipelines connecting SAP and finance tools, while enforcing data classification and export controls. You collaborate with legal and security teams to ensure auditability and regulatory compliance. This role offers a chance to shape how finance automation scales in a sensitive, regulated domain, with cutting-edge AI and data governance at the core.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Own the agentic finance build roadmap from ideation to production
Design and maintain automated data pipelines linking SAP, Abacum, and Citi
Build AI-driven data quality validation layers across the Finance stack
Define data classification and routing for all Finance AI workloads and enforce data tier boundaries
Develop self-healing workflows where agents detect and correct errors
Implement observability tooling to monitor pipelines (e.g., LangSmith)
Partner with ICS Lead and Legal to ensure auditability and data sovereignty compliance

Zentrale Anforderungen

Production-grade data pipelines in finance or regulated environments
Hands-on SAP experience including FI/CO data extraction, BAPIs, and OData
Production-quality Python (pandas, requests, FastAPI) and SQL (CTEs, window functions)
Experience integrating REST and SOAP APIs with tools like Azure Data Factory, dbt, or Airflow
Designed and deployed AI agents in production using LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen
Understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial coherence of pipelines
Knowledge of data sovereignty and export-control frameworks (ITAR, EAR) and ability to communicate with Finance, Engineering, Legal, and auditors
