Finance Data Governance Officer

In this role you drive Finance data governance and quality initiatives for MSESE, coordinating with Global teams to implement the Firm’s Data Strategy and robust data controls. You will act as a trusted contact for Finance data governance, guiding scoping, execution, and post-implementation maintenance while partnering with regulators and senior stakeholders. Your work shapes data accuracy across Finance divisions and supports risk management and regulatory reporting. • Act as single point of contact for all Finance divisional Data Governance topics within MSESE, collaborating with Global Finance Data Office and stakeholders
• Provide strategic leadership for MSESE-focused data quality initiatives and ensure compliance with Firm standards
• Represent MSESE Finance in local and global data forums and lead transformation programs, including regulatory interactions
• Coordinate and implement BCBS239 compliance locally within MSESE Finance
• Lead implementation of the Firmwide Data Strategy in MSESE Finance and liaise with Global Finance Data teams
• Oversee all local regulatory submissions related to Data Quality and Governance
• Conduct annual critical report and metric assessments across Finance
• Supervise outsourced data quality services

• 10+ years of experience in banking, financial control, regulatory reporting or data governance
• Understanding of capital, liquidity and financial regulatory reporting frameworks
• Strong knowledge of BCBS239, enterprise data governance and regulatory reporting architectures
• Expertise in data governance, data quality, and controls, with large-scale data environments and cloud platforms
• Understanding of Finance functions, industry dynamics, key risks, and regulatory frameworks in banking
• Strong risk and control mindset with experience managing risks
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders globally across Finance, Risk, Technology and Operations
• Ability to create meaningful documentation for executive and board audiences
• Strong planning and organizational skills

• Fluency in English; German advantageous
