Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager SEO in Hamburg, you will take full ownership of client strategy and execution, driving high-impact, AI-powered SEO solutions for prominent, large-scale accounts.

• Client Strategy & Consulting: Lead, design, and execute tailor-made SEO and content strategies for major brands. Proactively advise clients on current digital developments and lead workshops, presentations, and training sessions (both internal and external).
• Full-Funnel SEO Management: Perform comprehensive keyword research, technical audits, competitive analyses, and content optimization according to SEO best practices using modern CMS platforms.
• AI & Technical Innovation: Drive forward-thinking, AI-driven SEO strategies, integrating tools like ChatGPT into daily workflows while leading technical SEO, UX, and website migration/launch projects.
• Account Growth & Commercial Ownership: Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities, manage project budgets, assist in new business pitch efforts, and help develop new agency products and services.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Account Management, SEA specialists, and internal content/tech teams to deliver integrated, full-funnel marketing campaigns.

Your Profile

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in SEO (agency background highly preferred). Experience managing large-scale or international accounts is a strong advantage.
• Tool Proficiency: Confident, hands-on experience with core SEO and analytics tools, including Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Sistrix, and modern AI/prompting tools (e.g., ChatGPT).
• Strategic & Client-Centric Mindset: Deep understanding of search strategies, user intent, content, and modern UX/AI trends. You excel at anticipating client needs while staying aligned with core business objectives.
• Language Skills: Native or business-fluent German (C2 mandatory ) paired with solid conversational and written English skills (B1 minimum ).
• Work Style: Self-motivated, highly structured, and eager to take personal responsibility in an agile, team-oriented environment.
• Education: A degree in marketing, communication, or a relevant field is a plus, but practical expertise and hands‑on track record are what matter most.
