About the Role

Are you a seasoned SEO strategist with native-level German fluency, proven team leadership skills, and a passion for AI-driven marketing? We are looking for two German-Speaking SEO Team Leaders (m/f/d) to drive high-impact organic growth for our largest, most prominent client accounts in Hamburg.

In this role, you will lead a high-performing SEO team, foster strong relationships with enterprise clients, and pioneer innovative strategies that blend technical SEO, content, and cutting‑edge AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and empower a talented SEO team within our business unit, driving high performance and career development.
• Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with major, well-known client accounts.
• AI-Driven Strategy & Innovation: Develop and champion forward‑thinking SEO strategies across content, technical SEO, and user experience, incorporating tools like ChatGPT and other AI applications.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside Account Management, fellow SEO specialists, and SEA teams to deliver unified digital marketing campaigns.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Language Proficiency: Fluent German (C2 level required) to communicate effectively with key clients and direct reports, alongside English (B1 level or higher) .
• Professional Experience: Approximately 8 years of relevant digital marketing and SEO experience.
• Leadership Track Record: Proven, direct experience managing and leading teams.
• Tool Stack Mastery: Confident and expert use of core SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console) and AI solutions (ChatGPT & similar).
• Core Traits: High customer-centricity, strong sense of personal responsibility, collaborative team-player mindset, and demonstrated affinity for leadership.

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

• Experience with additional digital marketing platforms or advanced web analytics tools.
• Experience overseeing large-scale, international SEO projects.

Working Model & Terms

• Location: Based in Hamburg.
• Hybrid Setup: Flexible model allowing up to 50% home office (calculated on a monthly basis). Please note: This role cannot be fully remote.
• Travel Requirements: No regular travel required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: €60,000 -- €75,000 gross annual salary.
• Bonus Structure: Plus a performance-based bonus / variable pay of approximately 10% .
