Head of Communications Operations Konz (f/m/d)

In this role you shape and execute communications for the Konz site, aligning local efforts with Volvo CE strategy. You drive employee engagement, manage change and crisis communications, and lead cross-site collaboration within an international network. You’ll advance channels and formats, utilize new tools including AI, and strengthen the employer brand to attract and retain talent. This position combines strategic planning with hands-on delivery to have visible impact on site operations.

• Shape and coordinate internal communications to strengthen site engagement
• Advise management on strategic, tactical, and operational communication topics and coach leaders
• Ensure local communications align with Volvo CE strategy
• Lead change and crisis communication when needed
• Manage and optimize communication channels and formats
• Develop internal platforms and formats (e.g., Violin, newsletters, digital boards, Town Halls, presentations)
• Identify and implement innovative communication tools and AI-powered solutions
• Interface with Volvo CE sites across Europe and globally to share best practices
• Support employer branding through site events and collaboration with People & Culture
• Coordinate external communication with Media Relations for Konz
• Act as local communications point for topics and achievements to external audiences

• University degree or equivalent in Communications or a related field
• Several years in corporate, internal, or external communications
• Experience in developing and implementing communication strategies
• Strong strategic and conceptual thinking with a hands-on mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
• Experience with digital communication platforms and interest in new technologies and AI
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders from shop floor to senior management
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted relationships
