Head of Customer Delivery

Your mission

You ensure we deliver our promised value to our customers - connecting customer need and tech features. You are the face to the customer, you understand their use cases and translate their needs to our tech team. You manage every step E2E in the value creation, making sure each promise to the customer is feasible & delivered on time.

This role is more than a project manager or forward deployed engineer - You deliver, learn, iterate and improve what a Proof of Value has to look like to convert, what a model needs before a Champion sells it internally, which strategic delivery partners get us to customers we cannot reach alone.

This is a role you shape, build and lead not inherit. You will be executing on eye level with the founders and build the department. Customer projects are live at manufacturing companies, with real data, real models, and results their management teams are working with.

We will not sugarcoat it: short deadlines, big workload, and new steps in the process no one has every done before. You will find out how to solve the value creation process best.

What you'll own

• Value creation: From the first customer conversations, break down their decision problem and shape it into a high-impact use case our platform can solve.
• Solution design: Work with the modelling team to build decision-grade optimization models on the customer's data, ensuring the right problem is being solved.
• Decision translation: Turn complex industrial realities—capacity, capital, lead times, delivery reliability, throughput—into optimization models, then translate the outputs into decisions management can confidently act on.
• Commercial ownership: Drive Proofs of Value into paid pilots and enterprise contracts by ensuring what we build delivers measurable business impact. Dana opens the door; you lead the substance, help close, and create long-term value.
• Scaling delivery: Build the delivery playbook, codify what becomes repeatable, identify what remains bespoke, and shape how the team grows around it.

Your number: Your success is measured by the speed from kickoff to the first trusted result, the conversion of Proofs of Value into enterprise engagements, and the repeatability of the delivery playbook.

How we work: Small team, short lines of communication, no layers. We have many experts that are extremely good in their field. You own your the customer needs, you scope, you coordinate the team and make sure they deliver on time.

• End-to-end ownership: You have experience leading complex projects from scoping to delivery, coordinating multiple stakeholders, working effectively under pressure, and taking full ownership of results. These capabilities are typically developed through 5+ years in consulting or industry, with technical consulting being an especially strong fit.
• Understanding customer problems: You combine a strong technical and analytical foundation—typically in engineering, computer science, data engineering, logistics and supply chain, finance with operations research, or a similar field—with the ability to understand complex business challenges, identify high-impact use cases, and think creatively about how to create value.
• Strong in problem structuring: You break down ambiguous business problems into clear, quantitative decision models, have a sharp eye for patterns and inconsistencies, and identify the key drivers and data needed to solve the problem.
• Meetings with German Mittelstand: You are willing to travel regularly across the DACH region for key customer meetings and workshops, speaking fluent German is a must. Home base in NRW (Cologne office), optionally Munich, Stuttgart, Berlin area or else willing to work hybrid. Open to find a way if we fit.
• Customer leadership & commercial instinct: You build relationships across the customer organization—from operations and finance to IT and senior leadership—run discovery conversations, qualify stakeholders, and guide customers from initial discussions to a successful pilot by earning trust and demonstrating value.

You are VERY structured and hyper biased for action, and you have shown you play to win wherever life has put you so far.

This role is not for you if you understand delivery as project administration, if you need a team to be deliverable, if you would rather advise than be accountable for whether the system works, or if you need more than three days before your first customer conversation.

Process: Intro call with Dana, second call with one from the team, a 60 to 90-minute live case exercise with pre-read material and prep for taking it home, then team conversations online and in person.
