Head of Engineering Design

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for a 12‑member design team.
• Shaping the technical development of sophisticated product solutions.
• Development of customer‑specific product and system solutions.
• Design of individual parts, assemblies and more complex technical solutions through to series production readiness.
• Managing and prioritizing design projects in close coordination with Sales, R&D, Purchasing and Production.
• Acting as a technical sparring partner for internal stakeholders and customers on complex design issues.

Requirements

• Several years of design experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least some leadership experience.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Proficient with CAD systems (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Knowledge of project management.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, with the ability to lead a team with tact.
