Head of Legal M&A, Strategy & Governance

In this senior executive role, you steer the Legal M&A, Strategy & Governance function, acting as a trusted advisor to leadership on strategic transactions and governance. You lead an international team, shape the governance framework, and enable long-term business success within a global Legal & Compliance context. You’ll drive enterprise-wide initiatives including M&A, organizational transformation, and ESG matters in an innovation-driven pharma environment. • Lead strategic M&A and venture capital transactions, corporate law and governance, antitrust, and ESG matters
• Advise senior management and key decision bodies on major strategic transactions and governance topics
• Manage 10+ legal professionals, setting direction and ensuring high-quality, business-focused support
• Participate in internal Governance Committees and represent BI externally
• Collaborate with senior leaders to identify opportunities, manage risk, and support strategic objectives
• Report to the Global General Counsel and contribute to the Global Legal Leadership Team’s strategy and transformation

• Senior-level in-house counsel or transactional lawyer with deep expertise in corporate law, M&A, venture capital and fund investments, and governance
• Broad knowledge of regulatory aspects relevant to transactions and governance (capital markets, insider trading, antitrust, ESG, international structures)
• Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and regulatory matters affecting global healthcare organizations
