IT Operations & POS Specialist

I have partnered with a very well-established, internationally recognised company to hire their next IT Operations & POS Specialist (m/f/d). Responsibilities

• Ensure the stable operation of POS systems (including TCPOS, payment systems, and POS peripherals)
• Structured analysis and resolution of incidents in 2nd and 3rd level support
• Coordinate and manage external service providers and vendors (e.g., 3rd level support tickets, RMA processing)
• Actively support operational IT activities (hands on involvement, not purely office based)
• Planning and technical implementation of new store openings, renovations, and rollouts
• Support testing, acceptance, and on site commissioning
• Participate in IT projects within the retail environment (POS, payment systems, integrations)
• Align technical requirements and implementation steps with internal and external partners
• Work closely with Onsite Operations, Finance, Business Analysts, and external partners
• Document systems, processes, and operational procedures
• Support the standardisation and further development of retail IT services

Qualifications

• Completed IT training or education (e.g., IT specialist) or a comparable qualification

Required Skills

• Ideally experience in retail IT or POS environments
• German speaking
• Interest in or identification with: POS systems and payment infrastructures
• IT support and operations processes (incident, problem, change management)
• Enjoy communication and collaboration with external service providers
• Team player with strong communication skills and willingness to contribute operationally
• Motivation to grow with the company and view new challenges as opportunities
• Quick learner, willing to take responsibility and approach tasks proactively and independently
