Lead Cloud Economics Specialist

In this senior role, you partner with Finance, Product & Engineering, and other stakeholders to turn cloud usage and cost data into actionable financial insights. You will own analytics, automation, and operating processes for cloud cost management and vendor economics, shaping how technology spend is planned and optimized. You’ll translate complex cost drivers into clear recommendations that influence budgeting, product decisions, and strategic initiatives. • Cloud cost visibility and attribution across AWS, Azure, GCP and hosting environments
• Automation: data pipelines and reporting to reduce manual effort
• Optimization, forecasting, and vendor economics including reservation and renewal decisions
• Finance partner to Product & Engineering for technology spend and decision support
• R&D investment analysis and executive reporting materials
• Support planning cycles with cost drivers and margin impact analyses

• 6–10+ years of experience in Finance, Cloud Economics, FP&A, or related analytical roles
• Strong analytical skills with large datasets and advanced spreadsheet modeling
• Hands-on Python or equivalent scripting for data analysis and automation
• Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools, APIs, and cloud billing data
• Experience analyzing SaaS, infrastructure, cloud, or usage-based cost models
• Ability to translate technical usage data into financial insights and provide executive-ready summaries
• Excellent written communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments and create structure
