Lead Designer Electrical (m/f/d)

In this role you design instrumentation and controls, and automate systems for high-tech facilities. You work closely with clients during plant modifications, translating needs into concrete engineering delivery. You prepare execution documents and support project planning, balancing budget, quality and schedule. You coordinate subcontractors and ensure safety and compliance, while maintaining clear interfaces and participating in site activities. You join a cross-functional, international team to drive reliable, compliant automation implementations.

• Develop detailed engineering for instrumentation, controls and automation in high-tech facilities
• Clarify technical details with clients during plant modifications or expansions and present solutions
• Prepare execution documents (drawings, functional descriptions, BOM) for installation and planning services
• Support project management with budget, quality, and schedule considerations
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure high execution quality and safety/compliance
• Manage interfaces and ensure smooth information flow internally and externally
• Participate in meetings, factory acceptance tests and on-site inspections
• Oversee installation of measurement, control and automation systems

• Education or training in automation engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering or building automation, or equivalent qualification
• 2–3 years of professional experience in planning, construction, maintenance or commissioning of measurement and control technology systems
• Familiar with common PC programs and MS Office
• Experience in high-tech facilities, ideally semiconductor or BioPharma
• Knowledge of relevant technical standards, regulations and codes
• Fluent in German and English, team-oriented, flexible for travel
