Manager PIPE (Principal Investors & Private Equity) (all genders) - BCG Platinion

In this role you guide technology-driven investment decisions across the PE deal cycle, shaping value creation through tech due diligence, architecture assessments, and AI capabilities. You collaborate with cross-functional teams and C-level stakeholders to translate tech findings into deal implications and post-transaction action plans. You help build and scale our PIPE Practice while delivering concrete, investor-focused outcomes.

• Lead tech due diligence and assess impact on investment theses, risk profiles, and value potential
• Analyze application landscapes, software architectures, AI capabilities, product/tech organizations, and digital business models; translate into deal implications
• Identify and quantify value-enhancement levers (AI strategies, scaling, platform strategies, tech transformation)
• Develop concrete implementation plans and execute post-transaction (Full Potential Plan, carve-out, post-merger integration)
• Collaborate with C-level stakeholders and act as sparring partner; manage internal and external project teams for fast, precise execution
• Contribute to building and developing the PIPE Practice

• Degree in (Business) Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field with above-average grades
• At least six years of IT consulting and transactions with strong IT focus (e.g., tech due diligence, full potential planning, carve-outs, post-merger integration)
• Investor-focused mindset; understanding of how technology affects enterprise value
• Cross-industry understanding of business models, value drivers, and investment logic
• Experience leading projects, resource planning, and motivating teams
• Ability to present complex issues clearly, build business cases, and drive decisions
• Fluency in German and English
