Overview

Join Trimble’s multi-sensor SLAM team to advance real-time navigation by fusing SLAM with GNSS/INS. You will design and implement software that runs on embedded systems, integrating LiDAR and camera-based SLAM with precise GNSS positioning. You’ll work across cross-functional teams to evolve the ProPoint engine with cutting-edge multi-sensor capabilities. This role blends research-style algorithm development with production-grade software engineering, delivering scalable solutions for diverse applications. Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Define and develop a sustainable software architecture for multi-modal SLAM with LiDAR and camera data
  • Implement SLAM algorithms in C++ for real-time embedded systems, including testing and verification
  • Define component interfaces and collaborate with teams to integrate other components
  • Manage code base, releases, and perform code reviews
  • Use Matlab and/or Python for data analysis, visualization, and algorithm development
  • Contribute to IP protection through documentation and patent filings
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Proven track record in developing and deploying SLAM algorithms
  • Proven experience in developing production-grade C++ code for real-time embedded systems in large code bases with strict release requirements
  • Master's degree in relevant field
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and mathematical skills
  • Experience with Matlab, Python or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment with changing priorities
