Senior Staff Engineer Acoustic Sensors (f/m/div)

Overview

In this role you act as the technical application expert for our Acoustic sensor portfolio, guiding customers from application to product implementation. You collaborate with cross‑functional teams to shape roadmaps based on market insights and performance feedback. You drive design‑in engagements at key customers and craft technical content to support launches and partnerships. You’ll work in a global, customer‑facing environment to advance innovative sensing solutions and establish thought leadership.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Serve as the technical application expert for Acoustic sensor portfolio (Automotive MEMS microphones, vibration sensors)
  • Lead technical reviews with key customers to align on requirements and roadmaps
  • Identify application trends and influence product roadmap through market insights
  • Capture and consolidate customer feedback on performance and limitations; present to Product Development and R&D
  • Coordinate requirements and support product validation in system design
  • Drive design-in activities to business-wins; collaborate with regional FAEs for consistent technical support
  • Present technical insights at conferences and build thought leadership; collaborate with FAEs
  • Author technical articles, white papers, and application notes on trending applications and technologies
  • Create and maintain technical documentation (datasheets, application notes, value props); support go-to-market for new launches and enable sales partners
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • A technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Acoustics, or similar
  • At least 5 years of experience in Application Engineering, R&D or Technical Marketing
  • Deep technical knowledge in Acoustics, MEMS, Analog or Digital ASIC design; vibration sensor experience is a plus
  • Strong written communication skills; experience in authoring technical articles or papers
  • Confident, customer-facing professional with proven ability to manage technical discussions and drive design-in engagements
  • Automotive industry experience and familiarity with standards/qualifications (e.g., AEC-Q100) is a plus
  • Self-motivated, proactive team player with intercultural competence and good interpersonal skills
  • Fluent English; German a plus
