To further strengthen our operations in Germany, we are currently seeking motivated professionals to join our Ocean Freight Forwarding and Contract Logistics Operations team.

Position Overview

The Ocean Freight Operations Specialist is responsible for managing end-to-end ocean freight shipments, ensuring efficient coordination with carriers, terminals, and transport partners. The role focuses on maintaining operational excellence, cost efficiency, and high service quality for both import and export shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage FCL / LCL ocean import and export shipments
• Coordinate bookings with major ocean carriers
• Arrange trucking and inland transport within Germany and the EU
• Prepare and manage shipping documentation (B/L, SI, VGM, customs)
• Monitor vessel schedules, port deadlines, and cargo status
• Control operational costs including demurrage and detention

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in ocean import/export operations, freight forwarding, or international logistics
• Strong operational knowledge of ocean freight forwarding within Northern Europe trade lanes
• Familiarity with Hamburg port operations and terminal procedures
• Understanding of EU customs regulations and German export compliance
• Ability to manage time-sensitive shipments in dynamic port environments
• Fluent in English; working knowledge of German is preferred
• Korean language proficiency is highly preferred
