PLD Hardware / FPGA Developer (m/f/d) Programmable Logic Device / Field Applications

In this role you will develop PLD/FPGA-based embedded solutions for aerospace applications and coordinate firmware development through certification. You will work within cross-functional teams to define hardware-driven software requirements, create BSPs, and verify safety concepts. The role focuses on delivering robust, certification-ready firmware for ECUs and aerospace platforms while collaborating across disciplines to drive quality and compliance. • Develop PLD/FPGA solutions for embedded systems in aerospace applications
• Coordinate firmware development tasks and timelines with stakeholders
• Define, program, and test BSPs for electronic control units and applications
• Conduct PLD/FPGA reviews for requirements, concept, and detailed designs
• Evaluate, document, and communicate verification results
• Create, review, and assess safety concepts and safety analyses
• Develop test strategies
• Collaborate within interdisciplinary development teams

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics or comparable qualification
• Experience in PLD firmware development in the aerospace industry
• Proven embedded systems development experience
• Proven PLD/FPGA development experience with tools (Microsemi, Xilinx, Altera, Libero)
• Model-based software development experience (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) desirable
• Knowledge of PLD/FPGA verification (Modelsim or RivieraPro)
• Experience in aerospace PLD/FPGA development per RTCA DO-254 considered an advantage
