Pre-Sales Business Consultant - Retail/Media/Pharma/Chemical

In this role, you will partner with sales to articulate Fortinet’s services, solutions and architectures to Retail & Media (Pharma & Chemical) clients. You drive business-focused architectural discussions, translating customer needs into value propositions and guiding the path to significant Fortinet investments. You will influence senior stakeholders with a clear, industry-aligned strategy and lead technical demonstrations and PoCs when needed. You contribute to a future-state architecture that enables measurable business outcomes.

• Build and nurture consultative relationships with customers and stakeholders across technical and business domains
• Lead architectural design aligned with Fortinet’s technology strategy to address business goals
• Understand customer strategy, challenges and success criteria to demonstrate business relevance to executives
• Deliver architecture selling concepts and enablement to Sales, PreSales and partners
• Identify top opportunities and support business case development
• Manage technical aspects of the sales cycle, including demos, RfX, and PoCs, in collaboration with teams
• Maintain up-to-date solution, industry, and regulatory knowledge to differentiate Fortinet
• Collaborate with Consulting System Engineers, Solution Architects, and Professional Services on complex opportunities
• Capture and manage customer requirements through the Consulting System Engineering Team to Product Management

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in cybersecurity, networking or solution architecture with proven success
• Senior customer-focused technical engineering sales professional with knowledge of business drivers and relevant platforms
• Strong collaboration, self-motivation, excellent communication and an entrepreneurial mindset
• Ability to work independently and lead a team in a collaborative environment
• Good understanding of Retail & Media (Pharma & Chemical) trends, regulations (EU-DSGVO, BDSG, NIS-2/KRITIS) and related architectures (Datacenters, Zero Trust, SASE, DevOps, IaC, Cloud, Security Operations)
• Excellent German and English language skills; ability to interface with senior stakeholders
• Willingness to travel 20-50%
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred; relevant certifications (SANS, CISSP, CCIE) preferred
