Principal Basis Expert (f/m/d) Sovereign Cloud Delivery

In this role you will shape and manage the SAP cloud application landscape within the Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations unit. You will enable and mentor delivery teams, oversee complex SAP landscapes, and ensure smooth cloud service delivery for private and public environments. You act as the trusted advisor between CAS and SAP solution areas, handling incidents and customer inquiries with practical, hands-on support. This position targets growth of CAS usage, strong customer satisfaction, and revenue/ROI optimization in a regulated, cloud-focused context. You will join a collaborative, customer-centric, and transformation-driven team that values expertise and proactive leadership

• mentor internal and external delivery teams and drive continuous learning
• maintain and troubleshoot complex SAP landscapes with technical leadership
• handle customer inquiries and incidents, ensuring timely resolution
• serve as liaison between CAS and SAP solution/product areas
• provide practical support for customer inquiries and incidents
• lead or contribute to working groups and internal initiatives
• support team members in establishing a sustainable, customer-centric market presence for SAP CAS

• 10+ years of SAP technical administration with SAP Basis knowledge
• experience in setting up, administering, and operating SAP solutions
• experience supporting presales, solution proposals, and proposal management
• trusted advisor to Sovereign Cloud customers and ability to optimize TCO/ROI
• deep knowledge of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and SAP cloud offerings; market analysis
• fluency in German and English (written and spoken)
• daily office presence and willingness to work shifts in dedicated SAP support facilities
• availability of government security clearance process
