Principal Enterprise Architect

In this Architect role you craft transformative solution architectures for prospects and customers, guiding their modernization journey. You engage with C-level stakeholders to translate strategic goals into actionable technical plans. You’ll steer innovative designs including Agentic AI, collaborating with Sales, Value Engineering, Product, Data Ops, and Security to unblock blockers and grow the business. Expect to develop reusable assets and customer-facing architecture papers that showcase Celonis’ capabilities and impact.

• Define the overall architecture, data and cloud strategy for large client accounts
• Engage with C-level clients to align technical strategy with business goals
• Identify and architect solutions leveraging emergent tech like Agentic AI
• Bridge Celonis product/engineering with client teams for optimal delivery
• Assess customer IT landscape maturity in the region
• Participate in pre- and post-Sales engagements with architecture and security teams
• Coach Celonis consultants and ecosystem partners on implementation topics (architecture, integration, performance, scalability)
• Develop reusable assets and customer-facing position papers and thought leadership on architecture and innovation
• Create technical designs and presentations for internal and client stakeholders

• 10 to 15 years of relevant experience (Software vendor Architect, CTO or Enterprise Architect)
• Strategic thinking linking technical solutions to business value
• Strong background in Data Architecture and Integrations, with data languages (SQL, Python)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Ability to switch between high-level architecture and hands-on demo work
• Strong focus on systems integrations, data operations and automation
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, SaaS (Salesforce, SAP, Dynamics CRM, ServiceNow), cybersecurity basics, API ecosystems and legacy on-premise
• Fluency in English; additional language (Spanish, French or Italian) is a plus
• MSc or Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
