Procurement Manager – Battery Energy Storage Systems

Lead and oversee procurement activities for major energy storage projects worldwide
Manage project teams throughout all stages to ensure supply needs are met promptly
Conduct market research and analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities
Manage vendor selection, conduct supplier audits, and negotiate contracts
Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for BESS components
Track and report on procurement performance metrics
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department
Prepare regular procurement reports and dashboards for senior management

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
At least 3 years in the energy storage or renewable energy sector
Strong understanding of the BESS industry, including components and suppliers
Proven track record in supplier negotiations, cost management, and strategic sourcing
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management
Familiarity with procurement tools and ERP systems
Technical understanding of battery storage systems or energy-related technologies is an advantage
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing procurement challenges
Knowledge of sustainability practices and regulatory requirements in the energy and storage sectors
Time management and problem-solving skills
