Regional Compliance Manager EMEA (m/f/d)

Overview

In this role you drive Brenntag’s regional Compliance program across EMEA, aligning with the corporate Compliance team to improve processes, policies, and the overall culture of integrity. You will embed Compliance into day-to-day operations, lead risk-based controls, and promote an ethics-driven environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle regulatory changes and report progress to regional leadership and Group Compliance. This is a chance to shape a large, multinational’s compliance posture and sustainability of its culture.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Partner with regional business functions to integrate Compliance into daily operations
  • Provide practical, business-focused advice and help stakeholders identify compliant solutions
  • Support development and maintenance of the Compliance Management System (CMS) for effectiveness and improvement
  • Drive initiatives that foster a strong ethics and Compliance culture across the region
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance processes and controls to identify, assess, and mitigate risks
  • Coordinate regional whistleblowing processes, including intake, tracking, and stakeholder collaboration
  • Prepare regular Compliance reports, metrics, and updates for Regional Leadership Team and Group Compliance
  • Increase Compliance awareness through communication initiatives and policy/regulatory requirement education
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments in the EMEA region and implement necessary policy updates
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver Compliance training and awareness sessions for employees across the region
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Compliance, legal, audit, or risk management
  • Master of Law / Business degree preferred, unless equivalent experience is demonstrated
  • Deep understanding of how to analyze regulations and implement processes, policies, and trainings
  • Strong project leadership in a complex stakeholder environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in an international setting
  • High service orientation with excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to innovate
  • Strong English communication skills; German or additional languages are advantageous
