Regional Safety Manager , Data Center Health and Safety

In this role, you own the safety function for Germany and Sweden, leading a regional team of safety professionals. You will translate regional and global priorities into a multi-year safety roadmap and drive programme rollout across clusters. You collaborate with internal partners and regulators to ensure compliant, safe operations in growing data-center portfolios. You will shape safety strategy, build workforce capacity, and partner with senior leaders to close performance gaps, all within a dynamic, cross-country environment.

• Own safety strategy for Germany and Sweden and convert it into a multi-year execution plan with measurable outcomes
• Lead end-to-end regional and global health and safety programmes from inception to rollout across clusters
• Deliver management briefing narratives (MBR/QBR) with indicators, trends, and responses to gaps
• Forecast growth, investments, and build workforce/succession plans for scaling portfolio
• Manage and develop a cross-country team of safety professionals across Germany and Sweden
• Recruit and retain safety talent to support current and future operations
• Conduct health and safety audits and inspections of data centers to ensure regulatory compliance and life-safety standards
• Implement safety management systems, training, risk assessments, and industrial hygiene assessments
• Review investigation quality and escalate high-severity incidents
• Collaborate with construction managers to mitigate risks before new capacity goes live

• Fluent German and English (C1)
• Bachelor-equivalent in a relevant field
• Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (SiFa) with DGUV Vorschrift 2
• Minimum 5 years of experience in German/European safety regulatory environment
• Deep knowledge of European and German occupational safety laws
• Experience leading a safety team and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience working with senior stakeholders
• Experience in a leadership role
