Senior Applications Engineer II – Physical Layer (m/f/d)

In this role you join the Applications Engineering team to bridge customers, product marketing, design, and validation. You’ll contribute across the product lifecycle for SPE solutions in a dynamic, international setting. You drive concept development, prototyping, and validation, while ensuring technical rigor and clear communication. You will impact product quality and compliance through signal integrity and EMC expertise, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring market-leading SPE products to life. This is a hands-on role in a global company that values growth, collaboration, and innovation.

• Develop and evaluate new concepts for SPE products with simulation, prototyping, and validation
• Collaborate with design teams to translate concepts into robust solutions
• Support validation and compliance processes to meet customer and industry requirements
• Create, review, and maintain technical documentation and application notes
• Provide technical support to customers and align with design recommendations
• Contribute expertise in signal integrity and EMC to drive product quality
• Perform analysis, testing, and debugging using lab equipment
• Communicate complex technical topics across stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of experience; Master’s preferred
• Experience with Ethernet / SPE technologies (100BASE-T1 / 1000BASE-T1)
• Experience with Ethernet compliance and certification processes
• Strong background in analog and digital circuit design
• Experience in system- and circuit-level simulation and analysis
• Hands-on experience with measurement equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum/logic analyzer, VNA)
• Experience in signal integrity and EMC testing and debugging
• Strong technical documentation skills
• Programming / scripting skills (Python, C, C++, C#, Java, uPython)
• Independent, structured, solution-oriented working style
• Fluent in English (business level)
